One patient found out the difference cutting-edge eye exam technology can make after an appointment with Dr. Ashley Owyang, who used AccuExam technology to determine his new prescription. Prior to the appointment, he wasn’t wearing his old glasses that were only six months old (purchased from a different eye practitioner) because his vision felt “off.”
But after his first AccuExam, the patient was amazed with how well—and how quickly—he could see with his new prescription.
Learn more about the patient’s experience with AccuExam and Dr. Owyang below:
“I wanted to share how AccuExam created a “WOW” experience for one of my patients. My patient had an exam less than six months ago elsewhere, but didn’t really wear his glasses because they always felt “off.” His wife had an exam with us a few months ago (and had a great AccuExam experience), so she brought him in when he started mentioning that he didn’t like his current prescription. I was able to perform a refraction and then was able to show him the difference between his current Rx and the Rx that I found for him that day. He was amazed at his ability to see the difference in prescriptions immediately.
He was also diagnosed with a vitreous detachment about two years ago by an ophthalmologist, but didn’t fully understand what was going on, so I pulled up the vitreous detachment page on the vuesimulator. He was astounded by the simulator and the condition made so much more sense to him after seeing a visual. He couldn’t stop raving about how impressed he was by the thoroughness and the state of art technology of the exam. This is just another example of how AccuExam is able to excite our patients and create raving fans.”
